Ennis men reinstated to Junior Division 2

THE Ennis Senior Men's team has been reinstated to Junior Division 2.

The news comes this week after Newport RFC in Tipperary pulled out of the league. Ennis were asked to take their place in Division 2 after being the best of the relegated sides from last season. Ennis will now hope to prosper in the division, having had a strong finish to last season coming away with two wins and a draw out of their last four games.

Ennis now face into a new fixture list, with the first competitive game of the season coming at the end of this month on September 25, away to Youghal in east Cork.

Ennis will have seven away fixtures — including two long trips to Co Waterford and two to Co Cork — with six home fixtures, the first of which is on October 2 against Charleville, with organisers hoping for a big turnout from home fans to support the club's men's team.
