Club Captain's Message

Michael McInerney

Club Captain

Hello and welcome to Ennis Rugby Football Club.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome players, supporters, members, sponsors and of course the visiting teams to Ennis Rugby Club this year. I hope that Ennis provide a special brand of rugby this year. I hope that Ennis provide a special brand of rugby this year. Hopefully every supporter and member will enjoy this season.

It is a great honour to be the captain of The Ennis Rugby Club for the first time. It is not the first time an Ennistymon man has captained or played for Ennis Rugby Club. Such names comes to mind as Matthew Griffen, Tommy O'Loughlin, Tom O'Donoghue, Alley Browne and Michael Cagney.

I hope the coming season is a successful and enjoyable one. We have added to our squad again this year from outside of Ennis town, ie. Inagh, Kilmihil, Cooraclare.

I would particularly like to thank Monitor Ltd. our main sponsor and I hope that all members support our sponsors in whatever way possible.

I would finally like to thank all the people behind the scenes for their continued commitment in the running of the club.

P.S. Play the ball, not the man.

Regards,

Michael McInerney,

Club Captain
