Ennis 2nd team started their Glesson Campaign with a hard fought away win to Kilfeakle. Never an easy venue to come away with a win but Ennis ‘s high tempo and commitment came through in the 2nd half. Down 15-12 at half time Ennis gave Killfeakle an easy try 10 mins into the 2nd half, a missed tackle in the centres gave Killfeakle an easy run in. Captain D Forde had serious words for his players and this triggered an upsurge of good forward and backs interplay, huge forward pressure created space for Niall Nevin to get over and with a conversion by Ronan O’Flanagan, Ennis were trailing by just 1 point . With the intensity up , the forwards drove on hard and Paddy Harding scored under the posts to regain the lead. With 10 mins only remaining Ennis pushed on, Captain D Forde scoring the decisive try from a good move off a scrum,giving Ennis the win with the final score of 31 –20. Man of the Match for Ennis was young Niall O’Loughlin playing hooker who provided good support around the field.
