Ennis travelled to Tullamore for their first game of the season and were victorious in winning the plate final.
In the first match Ennis had a comprehensive win, winning 33-0 with tries from Tony Butler and Brian Crowley Hayes and conversions from Ethan Coughlan.
In their next game they played Tullamore and the game finished nil all. Ennis now reached the plate semi-final against Killdara RFC winning by 19 nil with tries from Butler and Hayes and also the final try from Colm Kearney.
The final game of the day was against Boyne RFC where Ennis conceded their first score of the day but were outright winners with a final score of 14 to 7 with tries from Daniel Fogarty and Ben Geraghty. The team did the club proud on the day and Ennis also had another winner with outhalf Tony Butler winning player of the tournament for his outstanding display.
